Rochelle Vennari passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025. She was born in Big Springs, West Virginia, on April 27, 1940, to the late Vance and Ruth Eleanor Vennari. She was the oldest of three sisters and was raised in Harrisville, WVA and Belpre, OH. She was proud to have resided in her home, in Dublin, Ohio for over 57 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Lori (Douglas) Sternisha, David (Robin) Rogers, and Emily (Jeff) Jenkins; grandchildren Ella (Daniel) Herbener, Hannah (Reed) Sternisha, and Owen Sternisha; and great-grandson, Cameron Herbener.
Rochelle is also survived by her dear sisters, Karen Roessler and Rita Vennari Studstill; nephew, Frank (Nicci) Roessler; great-nephews, James and Greyson Roessler. Her beloved dog, Mandy, also survives. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Mary Rogers; brothers-in-law, Howard Roessler and Pat Studstill.
Rochelle graduated from Ohio University in 1962 and was an elementary school teacher in Columbus Public Schools for over 30 years before retirement in 2000. During her career, she earned a master’s in education from The Ohio State University. She worked hard to raise her three children as a single mother during this time. After retirement, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and pets, gardening, and reading.
Family and friends will remember Rochelle on Sunday, July 27th from 1:00-3:00PM at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin 43016. If so inclined, please wear red, her favorite color, honoring Rochelle’s strength throughout her life.
