

Sadie graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1976 and earned her A.A.S. degree from Southern West Virginia Community College in 1982. After 24 years, she retired from Honda of America Manufacturing in 2010. She worked as a coordinator in the Corporate Communications Department the entire 24 years.
Sadie leaves behind her partner of 42 years, Wanda Dotson, Dublin, Ohio; her cousins and caregivers Ferbie Marcum-Phillips and Elaine (Jeff) Franz, Painesville, Ohio; stepmother Connie Hodge, Fredericktown, Ohio; sisters Billie Jo (Scott) Cooke, Marengo, Ohio, Bambi (Chris) Hodge-McCluley, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Bridget (Joe) McCulloch, Mt. Vernon, Ohio; nephews Owen (Lexi) Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jacob McCulloch, Elijah Cooke, Conner Cluley, Teddy Harold Dotson; nieces Claudia Cooke, Teagan McCulloch, Autumn Kindred, Kayla (Jordan) Daniels-Dotson, Trusonda (Joe) LaRue; great-nephews Caden Compton, Harley Jones; great-nieces Brooklyn Compton, Carlie Jones, Kayslee Dotson; and friends.
Sadie was an avid genealogy researcher, who also enjoyed doing assorted craft projects, making bracelets, flowers and shopping. She loved spending time with friends and family.
Per Sadie’s request, there will be no viewing or service. However, there will be a Celebration of Life held in her honor at a later date.
Everyone who met Sadie always commented on her great, warm smile and her compassion for life. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
