Smith Caldwell Brewster

Smith “Smitty” Brewster, age 73, of Powell passed away on August 31, 2023. He was born on August 7, 1950 in Virginia to the late Marvin and Harriett Brewster. He attended Bowling Green University where he was a member of the Rugby team. After graduation he worked as a computer programmer for Commuter Associates “CA” in Columbus, Ohio for the duration of his career. Smitty was a proud ham radio operator and went by the name KB8EMH. He was able to speak with people all over the world and even into space. Smith was a PADI certified scuba diver and enjoyed being able to scuba dive with his daughter. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and being able to explore different countries and states. Smith was an amazing husband and father.

Smith will be deeply missed by his wife of 51 years Suzanne; daughter Glynis (Joshua) Cooper and grandson Stiles Cooper. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Jim Heslop and nieces Alison and Kristen Heslop. Smitty is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Harriet and sister-in-law Debbie.
