

Tom Irelan, age 59, of Dublin, passed on Sunday, February 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Julia Irelan. He is survived by his wife, Tanya; daughters Bailey and Maddie; siblings Vicki (Bob), Dave (Rose), Rich (Lori); sister-in-law Amy (Brian) and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends. Tom was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, where he resided his entire life.
Tom was a graduate of The Ohio State University and a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He was proud to spend his professional career working in the family business, Dublin Building Systems. He was the past president of Central Ohio NAIOP and a former member of both the Columbus Rotary and Dublin AM Rotary. He also served as a board member of Tolles Career & Technical Center. Tom was a member of the Ohio State Football Gold Pants Club and was a lifelong blood donor for the American Red Cross.
A passionate sports fan, Tom especially loved Ohio State football and basketball and the Cincinnati Bengals. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends and spent years volunteering as a youth basketball official. On weekends, he could often be found playing a round of golf at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Above all, Tom cherished time with his family and many friends, laughing and sharing stories.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Dr., Dublin, Ohio 43017. His memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, at First Community Church South, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43212.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Glioblastoma Research Organization (www.gbmresearch.org), or any other cancer research fund in his memory.
