

Cookie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jon Martin; her brother-in-law, Paul Popp; and her first husband, Larry Zickafoose.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Todd (Jane) Zickafoose and Brett (Sarah) Zickafoose; her grandsons, Jordan, Drew, Clark, and Cameron Zickafoose; her sister, Gloria Popp; her niece, Kristi (Corey) Bihler; and her great-niece and great-nephews, MaryRose, Max, and Joe Bihler.
After graduating from Mt. Carmel School of Nursing, Cookie earned her master’s degree in anesthesiology from The Ohio State University. She dedicated many years of her career as a nurse anesthetist, caring for patients at St. Ann’s, Grant, and Children’s Hospitals. In addition to her healthcare career, Cookie found great success as an independent sales consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, where she enjoyed building lasting friendships while helping others look and feel their best.
Cookie found joy in traveling, painting, reading, playing bingo, and spending time with the many friends she made at StoryPoint. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, warm smile, generosity, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
A celebration of Cookie’s life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
