Mum, I am grateful and blessed for you and that we had time to do things in your later years. We loved having you over for meals and seeing ya here for the Grandkids, memories, your humor, and smiles. Seeing you in pain and your death has been tough to bear, but knowing you are with Da gives me comfort and some peace. Also knowing you and Yvonna are pain-free and giggling again and looking over the families is comforting. I put the Kukui nut lei that I have had since Hawaii, with you for your journey for Peace, and admiration. Always proud to brag about your service and thank you again!!

I got to build mine and grandmas relationship once she moved here to Ohio 20 years ago. She was the best story teller and have you sitting there for hours easy. Which my Dad definitely got that from her as well. I loved every story she ever shared with me especially of grandpa but my favorite story she would tell was of the birth of my Dad (Gary Wayne). He was cover from head to toe with dark black HAIR! She was shocked, especially it being her first child! I smile so much thinking of this story. My mother and father said I came out very similar. Lots of black hair on my head and hair all over my body as a baby. I love it. How silly these things are but mean so much to us ? Who would have known? She was very good at making you feel like you were there in real time. Another story that I also loved was how her sister Jackie was prayed over and brought back to life after a terrible accident. Sounds crazy but I don't doubt this, not for one second. She was a firm Believer in Heavenly Father and Christ. The power of the priesthood is strong.
Her Faith was undeniable!
How greatful I am to her for that. I still wish I could have more conversations with her. Hear more stories. Look into her pretty blue eyes that were so full of life.
She is in no more pain and that brings me peace. 
 I know Heavenly Father has wrapped his arms around her.
I know we will meet again. I love you so much grandma. Thank you for my family.

Had to add a second one. But even though we are not close mom always made me feel like we were.  Looking back over the last twenty years that mom was with us, It was great being able to not just get closer to mom but she became my best friend, and I never though that that would be possible. I thank God that I had these last few years to have that and I will forever miss the talks we had the hugs we shared and just being able to go to mom when I know she was here. Now, I know she is still there just in a different way. I can still talk to her, she is still watching over all of us with dad, and I am sure she will have a lot to say when our time comes to be with her and dad. But till then, let's see the strength that she passed to each of us grow, and continue to watch the family that both her and dad has built  over the last 50 some odd years, continue to grow with each generation, I just hope that those who remember mom continue to tell the stories and the memories of her and dad's love for each of us, and the things they taught us during the time we had with both of them. 
Mom you are forever in our hearts and dad you have the love of your life by your side again. Please, watch over all of your family, and help us continue to feel the love that you have given us while you both were on this Earth.

There are too many memories that I have had with mom over the years. I remember all of the stories she told, the way she told them made you feel like you were witnessing it for the first time even though you probably heard them a thousand times before. One of my favorites after the way she met my father is the one where she out shot her commanding officer. I took her shooting  at Black Wing Shooting range in Delaware, Ohio before she had her cataract surgery on her eyes, she could barely see, but she still hit the bullseye. It was amazing and I wish she could have past along her talent with a gun. There is a poem that I was sent from a friend of mine, it still makes me cry but I know mom would agree with this. 
It is called

Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night 
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul's sweet flight.
I am at peace, my soul's as rest 
There is not need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years.

Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life. 

My family and I will remember the weeks of mom's passing, and how her heart just did not want to give up the fight. However, even though she is gone, she will forever be with us all. she is in every memory we have, every story we tell about the past, she is there when my sisters talk to me and when my brothers hug me, just as dad is there with every word or every cup of coffee. I am the youngest daughter, I did not grow up with them, not really because they were already out living their lives and building their families but mom would always tell the stories about the things or the trouble my siblings would get into over the years and I would love to hear them because it just made me feel that much closer to them.

These hands.  Made alot of clothes, crocheted a thousand items...especially for the table (the Christmas they crocheted all the snowflakes and bells that we helped starch and hung on the Christmas tree), knitted,  and crossed stiched.  Also, the hands that disciplined us kids when we were young. The hands that made hundred of meals for our family and added culture to the kitchen.  The hands that help shape our family and help shape us to who we are today, not alone but with our father.  These hands soft, hard at times, special to me,  hugged us when needed.  Thank you mom for being you....Till we meet again.  Love you always.

I love your smile and will always remember it.  The outfit was one of my favorites... you for sure looked sassy in it.  LOL

I always love hearing the funny and cute stories about your Mom.  She certainly was a special lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your children during this difficult time .  Many prayers for you and yours.

My favorite mother in law…😍 I remember when I first met her and the family in 1987. She had been at the Chiefs Club, hanging with friends and prepping for us to come. We went to Chiefs Club for quite a few hours, and came home and she whipped up some pigs in a blankets at 2 ish in the morning, ( My first time having that), like it was nothing. Gary and I lived together, but while we were visiting,  we were not allowed to sleep together in her house. Gary came to kiss me goodnight and she yelled, “Wayne get to your room”lol….She could cook anything from scratch and she loved trying new foods. She passed that to Gary and our family. She had so many talents that was so effortless to her. I was always in awe how she created clothing, quilts and blankets, and loved doing it.She was always the biggest defender of her kids and loved them all and loved hanging out with them. I loved to watch her and my mom talk and support each and giggle amongst themselves at our family gatherings. Two ladies enjoying their family and I know now….. they are smiling down on us beautiful and pain free.
