Alice Mary Skoglund

She was born November 26, 1920, to Leo and Elsie Terrian. Alice grew up on Park Point and attended school there. In 1939, she married Lester A. Skoglund. She and Lester made their home in West Duluth, where they raised their three children. Alice was first and foremost a wife and mother. After her children were grown, she worked as a sales clerk at various Downtown Duluth stores, including Three Sisters and Wahl’s. Alice loved music, listening to the radio, and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; her parents and daughter Barbara Skoglund Kozlovski.

Alice is survived by her sons Larry (Carol) Skoglund of Duluth, and Ronald Skoglund of Buffalo, MN; six grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff in Elm Unit at Chris Jensen for their kind and compassionate care.

Memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, September 27, 2010 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N. 56th Avenue W, Duluth. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
