Benjamin L Heinonen

He was born August 24, 1990, in Duluth to James L. Heinonen and Brenda Bergen.

Ben attended Superior High School. He worked as a cook at the Superior Kounty Quarthouse. He enjoyed spending time with his family and helping anyone that needed it. He loved jamming with his friends in a local band and spending time in the woods and riding his four wheeler.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Allen A. Heinonen; his grandmother, Patricia Bergen; and his cousin, Curtis Cooney.

Ben is survived by his father, James (Amanda) Heinonen of Superior; mother, Brenda Bergen (Bob Poverud) of Superior; brother, Michael Bergen of Superior; step-brothers, Austin and Michael Horton of Barnum; grandfather, James Bergen of Corpus Christi, TX; grandmother, Kathleen M. Heinonen of Proctor; his best friend, Nate; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held 5 – 7 pm Sunday, January 20th at the Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 E. 4th Street, Duluth. Funeral Service will be 11 am Monday, January 21st at The River Church, 1902 E. 4th Street with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
