I never knew you, but your son, Peter C. Bye III, seems to be a special person We are working together to find more information on the death of his Uncle, Roger James Bye, killed 21 April 1961 in Laon, France. I was there in 1963, and it's a special place, for me as well as your family, I'm sure. I'm sorry for your passing, but now, you'll be with your husband, Peter C. Bye Jr. and I know that you'll be missed by your children & grand children & their families as well. God Bless You & Your Family.

To Carolyn's family

Please know how much a part of my life, and that of so many like me, your mother became over a long and caring lifetime. Few people know that Minnesota is and has been a Republican state. A progressive Republican state. That women like Carolyn, who care a whole lot and are willing to work a lot more, have helped make people like Al Quie and me be what we became. I have my memories, but I will miss her greatly.
