Corinne L. McGovern

Corinne was born October 20, 1942 in Chisholm, MN to Thomas and June Renaud. She was a graduate of Proctor High School. In August, 1965 Corinne married Dennis McGovern. She worked as a medical secretary and patient advocate for Miller Dwan, in private practices, St. Mary’s Duluth Clinic and St. Mary’s Essentia. Corinne’s kind soul touched many lives. She was loved by friends and co-workers alike.

Corinne loved reading, flowers, card making and did volunteer work at her church and for many other organizations. Her grandchildren were her joy.

Corinne was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis in 1969; her parents; a sister, Margaret “Muggs” Renaud ;and brother-in-law, Terry McGovern.

She is survived by her children, Denise (Tony)Wiechert, of Gurnee, IL and Shawn McGovern, of Proctor; five grandchildren, Malinda (Chase) Connor, Ashley McGovern, Matthew Wiechert, Keenan McGovern and Erica Wiechert; brothers, James Renaud and Robert (Debbie) Renaud sisters, Bette (Tony) Willoughby, Mary (Thomas) Lambert and Leslie (Lee) Carlson; many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank their relatives and friends for all their kind thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Visitation from 4:00pm until 7:00pm Thursday, March 1st at the Bell Brothers Funeral Chapel, 601 N. 56th Ave. W. and from 10:00am until the 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 2nd at St. Rose Catholic Church, 3 – 6th Ave., Proctor.
