Dorothy J. Elberling

She was born Apr. 6, 1935 in Duluth to Frank and Mary (Rudle) Dillon and attended St. Rose grade school and finished her education at Proctor High School.

She married LeRoy Elberling, January 31, 1953 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Proctor. They lived in Proctor and Duluth, and built the home they presently live in, in Hermantown themselves in 1966 and 1967.

Dorothy was very active raising their children and grandchildren. She worked for Weight Watchers in her later years when she wasn't busy with her grand and great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Mike.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband LeRoy of over 60 years, her children Gerald (Patsy) of Brimson; Steven (Brenda) of Rice Lake Township; Dennis of Parker, CO; Jeffrey of Lake Villa, IL; Joe of Livingston, LA; and LeAnn (Juan) Wilson of Brandon, MS. Nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren which were the apple of her eye. She is also survived by siblings Pat (Margaret) Dillon of Osseola, WI; Carol (Jack) Lindberg of Proctor; Tom (Harriet) Dillon of Coeur d' Alene, Id; Tim (Faith) Dillon of Hermantown; Mary Jo (Ted) Plys of Duluth; Tony (Diane) of Pike Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 followed by services at St. Rose Catholic Church in Proctor with Father Joel Hastings officiating. Interment at Oneota Cemetery.
