

She was born April 30, 1922 to Maude (Walbridge) and William C. Thomas. After William’s death she and her sisters were adopted by Robert E. Schultz.
Dorothy was a graduate of Proctor High School and editor of the “Mallet.”
She was truly a gifted artist in porcelain painting, pencil drawings, acrylics, and doll crafting. She did beautiful leather tooling, was an award winning sharpshooter, a trophied bowler and created many beautiful wedding cakes. Dorothy was also a gifted seamstress in all forms, especially her blue ribbon quilts.
She was key in initiating Proctor’s early 4th of July parades. One year, Dorothy and her sisters were honored as Grand Marshals for the Proctor Hoghead Celebration.
Dorothy lived at Railview Apartments for 25 years. She did compiling at the Proctor Journal and worked as executive housekeeper at the Radisson Hotel and Miller Dwan Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents and younger sisters, Helen, Ruth “Tubo”, and Rosie.
Dorothy is survived by daughters Carrolyn (Gerald) Delarosby, Roberta (James Sr.) Myers, and Mary Beth (Ted) Neault-Tammaro; sons James, Richard “Joe”, and Michael (Linda) Neault; many grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her friend Shirley Barber was always there for her. Her love for each of them was unconditional.
The family wishes to thank all of those working at St. Eligius and St. Luke’s Hospice for the tender care given to Dorothy.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on Tuesday June 19, 2012 in Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N 56th Ave W, in Duluth. Interment will be in Oneota Cemetery.
