

Edith was a life-long resident of Duluth and graduated from Central High School. On July 31, 1954 she married the love of her life Richard Carlson Sr. at Concordia Lutheran Church.
She worked for many years as a playground monitor for Cobb Elementary and retired later in life from the Medical Arts Pharmacy. Edith was very devoted to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Edith was a member of daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star, and life member of Concordia Lutheran Church.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents Arthur and Alice; brothers, Art and Harry Glibbery; and nephew, Danny Glibbery.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Richard(Julie) Carlson, Brenda(Jeffrey) Washburn, William(Lynn) Carlson, Nancy(Larry) Carl, and Mary(Mark) Campbell; grandchildren, Jordan(Gina ) Campbell, Kristin(Tino) Kalamaris, Jay(Becky) Washburn, Tamra Carlson, Krystal(Jeremy) Carl, Daniel(Ali) Carlson, Cassaundra(Kevin) Carl, Lynsey Carlson, and Jacob Carlson; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Brayden, Rylie Jaye ,Amelia, and Samaera; sister, Ethel(Gil) O’Leary, sister-in-law, Mellie(Roger) Michog; and many special nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank Jon and Erin of Beehive Homes of Duluth and their excellent staff for their care, support and friendship.
Visitation: 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Monday, June 8, 2015 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2501 Woodland Ave. Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Concordia Lutheran Church youth fund or the American Heart Association.
