Ernestine “Ernie” Anstett, 92, of Duluth passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Ernie was born on January 3, 1921 to Angelo and Rose Nicotera. On March 19.1938, she was united in marriage to David Anstett Sr. Ernie loved spending time with her friends, family, and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Sr.; son, Ricky; sister, Adeline Burr; and brother, Alfred Nicotera. Ernie is survived by her children, David Jr. (Bonni), Tom Sr. (Sharon), Ed (Joyce), Larry (Pat), Judy (Larry) Nelson, Patty (Chuck) Shaw; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; cousin, Mary Dori and family of N.Y.; Nancy Olson and her many special friends; and her dog, Mary. Visitation: 5 p.m – 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 28 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N 56th Ave W, in Duluth and will continue Monday, April 29 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Catholic Church, 721 N 57th Ave W, in Duluth. When we were young, Mrs. Anstett was the best neighborhood "Mother"...If Ed had a something to eat or drink, I had something also..We played there all the time. We were always welcomed into her home. My thoughts and prayers are with the family...
