Florence Mae Utech

Florence married the love of her life, Donald Utech Sr, on July 03, 1943 and they enjoyed nearly 51 years together before Donald’s passing on May 21, 1994.

She worked as a waitress and as a production worker helping to support her family of six. When she retired, she and Don spent much of their time traveling, fishing and visiting with family and friends.

Florence was a loyal member of the Proctor Moose Lodge and enjoyed many nights with her friends playing her favorite game…Bingo!

She is survived by her three daughters, Donna (George) Parker, Susan Stalcup, Rosie (Rick) Hagberg and one son, Donald (Jane) Utech Jr.; three sisters, Margaret (Glen) Wiltse, Helen (Norman) Norby and Luella (Carl) Jaspers; sisters-in-law Gladys (Edward) Utech and Ella (James) Hoadley; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald, infant son, great-grandson Jesse Westveer, brothers Harold and James Hoadley and sisters Alice (Jerry) Netland and Lillian (Harold) Parks.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and caregivers at Nurturing Care for their support in our Mother’s final days.

Visitation: 1:00-2:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN with the Memorial Service to begin at 2:00 pm.
