

Jim was born April 23, 1930 in Duluth and was a lifelong resident. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He married June on September 20, 1952 and together they raised five sons. Jim and June wintered in Jupiter Florida beginning in 1983.
Jim owned and operated Duluth Ready Mix until his retirement in 1992 when he passed the company on to his sons. He loved working with them and continued with great interest his entire life.
His passions outside of work were boating, golfing and especially loved seeing his grandchildren. Jim was a loving husband, father and great grandfather, as well as a great friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June; and great grandchildren, JayAnne, Colten and Delta.
Jim is survived by his sons, Mike (Renee), Tim (Nancy), Pat, Thomas (Deann), and Tom (Terri) Gradine; sisters, Connie Heise and Donna Kriedler; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
