I only knew Jan through the United Church office where she kept our paperwork in order. It was always a pleasure to come into the office when she was there and receive a warm and friendly welcome! I never knew her middle name, but it certainly did suit her. I have missed her since she moved away and know her family is missing her now. She was a special person.

She was my Home Ec teacher back in the 90's. Such a warm, caring and wonderful person who without realizing it , always lit up my days at a time where I had little that made me smile. There will never be another one like her. She was such a treasure and I really wish I would've been able to say thank you to her just for being her.

Jan's love for her students and her Home Economics classes are what got me through high school. I took every class of hers that was offered (17) back then, she was the best teacher and a great friend. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Wishing her family my deepest sympathies.

I've known Jan for many years, and I was saddened to learn of her passing. The first house that I purchased was previously owned by Jan and Wally! My deepest sympathy to her family!
