Lois Irene Magnuson

Lois grew up in Clover Valley and graduated from the Clover Valley High School in 1970. After high school she achieved her associate’s degree from UMD. She also went to Lake Superior College where she received a degree as a machinist. As a new graduate she was hired by the Potlatch Company where she worked for over 17 years.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and researching her family heritage. Lois was known for being a caregiver and loved spending time with her family, including her grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna; her beloved mother-in-law, Jean; and sister-in-law, Elsa.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Gilbert; sons, Peter and Jim; grandchildren, Ethen and Isabella; sisters, Belle Tjader, Mary Carlson, Kathy Kalish, Betty Patnaude, and Linda Brandt; brothers, John, Larry, and Paul Heise; and she was loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 3251 Midway Road, Duluth. Arrangements by Bell Brothers Funeral Home.
