Lois Mae Sandstrom

Lois was a very hard working woman. She worked for Marshall Wells, Duluth Clinic, and North Shore Bank through the years. She retired from North Shore Bank in 1993. On September 16, 1950 she married the love of her life, Walter L. Sandstrom.

She enjoyed volunteering at her church, traveling, spending time with grandkids, Square dancing, and especially loved spending time at the lake.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Diamond Willow “Misty Ivy Suite” and Essentia Hospice.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Walter.

She is survived by her sons, Lee, Bruce, and Jay; granddaughters, Christine (Dung) Tran, Katie (Ryan), Lauren (Ronnie), Kara (Rob), and Jenny; great-grandchildren, Aundrey, Alaric, Averi, Lacy, Paxton, and Kylan; and cousin, Edgar (Marion) Almquist Jr. of Milford, PA.

Visitation: 11:00 until the 12:00 noon funeral service Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Lutheran Church of the Good Sheperd. Interment will be at Oneota Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Lutheran Church of the Good Sheperd.
