

Lorraine was born on June 10, 1932 in Amenia, North Dakota to Harry Julius Hanson and Effie Lou-Ella Fornes.
She was a resident of Duluth for 62 years and wanted to spend her last days here. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved being a homemaker. She loved arranging flowers, sewing, crafts, dolls, shopping with good friends, and decorating her home with her handiwork.
She is preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Gene Richard Clark, her mother, Effie Hanson Herr, two brothers Harry and Dallas Hanson, and her father, Harry Hanson.
She is survived by two sisters, Darlene Mickelson of Fargo, ND, Charlie Gonzalez of Boise, ID, one brother, Elmer Hanson (Sandra) of Puyallup, WA, three sons, Craig of Minneapolis, Gene Richard Jr. (Karla) of Woodbury, and Simon of Cloquet, three grandchildren Jennifer Clark Powell (Ammon) of Orem, UT, Stephen (Judy) of Cape Coral, FL and Jonathan of Bismarck, ND and her great-grandson, Lionel and many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.
Visitation will be held at 10am and Funeral Service at 11am to celebrate Lorraine's life on Friday, August 12 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 621 Upham Road in Duluth.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Diamond Willow Lester Park and the St. Luke’s Hospice for the loving care provided during her final days. Arrangements are provided by Bell Brothers Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home of Duluth.
