Mamie Jeanette Peterson

Mamie was born August 22, 1920 to Peter and Betsey Thallie in Duluth.

She went to school at Proctor High School where she graduated in 1938. On August 16,1939 she married Roy Peterson in Duluth . Mamie worked at St. Lukes Hospital in the food service for over 10 years. Member of Haven Evangelical Church for over 60 years. Mamie loved to read, five or six books a week, and did volunteer peer counselor for senior citizens for about five years.

Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Jack and Andrew Peterson, two brothers, Lars and Andrew Thallie; five sisters, Minnie Thallie Amanda VanGuilder, Muriel Arthur, Inez DeFoe, Stella Teeze.

Mamie is survived by her children, Lisa (Daniel) Heiller of Casper, Wyoming; Betsy (Jon) Krause of Duluth; Tom and (Arlene) Peterson of St. Cloud; Kathleen Lindquist of Hibbing; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great Granchildren; sister Pearl Clancy of Duluth; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 pm Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N. 56th Ave. W with Pastor Vernon Aarnes officiating. Inurnment by the family will be at Oneota Cemetery.
