Marion E. Jugasek, 99, of Proctor died March 2nd, 2013 at Heritage Haven, surrounded by family. She was born March 12, 1913 in Marquette, MI to William and Marion (Piggott) Tousignant. She was united in marriage to Leo Jugasek in 1935.
Marion attended St. James Catholic School and Denfeld High School. She was an active member of St. Rose Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir and was a circle chairman. She was also a member of the Women of Moose in Proctor since 1962, where she was a chaplain and played the piano for 25 years. Marion enjoyed traveling, playing cards, baking, working with ceramics, and spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo and son, James; two brothers; three sisters; and son-in-law, Ray Larsen.
Marion is survived by her son, Tim (Judy Long) of Saginaw; two daughters, Barbara Larsen of Proctor and Mesa, AZ; and Mary (Mickey) Strongitharm of Proctor; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; in-laws, Eleanor and Louis Brassard, and Helen Nosek; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Essentia Hospice and a special thank you to the staff of Heritage Haven.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 7,2013 at St. Rose Catholic Church, 3 6th Ave, in Proctor. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
