

Marjorie was the daughter of Alfred and Anna Liberty. She spent her early years in the Raleigh Street neighborhood of Duluth, and was a graduate of Denfeld High School.
She married Jimmy Hill in 1942, and lived in his hometown of Port Arthur, Ontario until they moved to Duluth in 1947. They were married for 55 years until Jim passed away in 1997. Their married years were spent in their Wadena Street home in the Woodland neighborhood of Duluth. Marge was a homemaker, and a St. Luke’s Hospital volunteer for 40 years totaling over 6,000 volunteer hours.
After Jim’s passing Marjorie moved to the Mount Royal Pines and then to the Pines Assisted Living. Her later years were spent at Heritage Haven.
Marge is survived by her son, Robert and wife Zoe of Duluth; grandson, Noel and wife Sheila; and great grandchildren, Reid and Meredith of Duluth; grandson, Sean and wife Margaret; and great grandchildren, Brenton, Kendall, and Leighton of Phoenix, AZ.
Marge’s family would like to thank the staffs at Heritage Haven, St. Luke’s Hospice, and the Solvay Hospice House for the compassionate care they provided to Marge.
Memorials are preferred to Animal Allies Humane Society of Duluth and Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
