Robert Nelson

Robert Nelson, 90, passed away on January 12, 2012 in Duluth, MN. He was born in Genoa, MN to Arvid and Hanna Nelson on February 24, 1921. He was joined in marriage to Helen Erickson on February 14, 1959. He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church

He is survived by Helen his wife, seven children, Rob (Ruth) Nelson, Stephanie (Mike) Tommaro, Wendy (Rod) Hammerstrom, Holly (John) Hiivala, Randy Nelson, Harold (Lynn) Nelson, Heather (Seth) Levanen; 45 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of Christian Friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Harold, George and John, 2 sisters, Signe Junglas and Inga Dormanen and beloved grandson, Aaron Hammerstrom.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2012 in the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 5755 Ryan Road. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 16 with visitation one hour prior, all at the church. Burial will be in the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Cemetery.
