Ruby and George were friends with my parents when they lived in Two Harbors,with both George and my dad working for DMIR telephone. (Andy and Milla Anderson) George transferred to Proctor, but they stayed in touch somewhat.  When I moved to Proctor in 1973 with my husband, my mother came down and would visit a few times with Ruby, with them sharing old memories.  I knew Ruby also through Bethlehem church...she was a wonderful, sweet woman. My sympathy to the family.

Ruby, you were one of a kind.  God used you in so many people's lives.  From the time we lived across from you and George on 6th street in Proctor you allowed me into your home anytime of any day.  You allowed me into your bedroom when I was four and hollering out "Tick 'em up Wuby"  something you and I never forgot.  Your love for Shirley was so special.  I am so thankful that in November you and I had the opportunity to sing you favorite songs that precious last time.  "My God and I" and Children of the Heavenly Father.  You sung them out at the top of your lungs.  All the verses of both songs.  You were amazing.  Now you can sing them while you are sitting at God's feet, having completed your journey.

Ruby was a wonderful lady and a dear friend of my mom's. I have many fond memories from when we lived across the street from you growing up on 6th street.  Thanks for the many great childhood memories.

Grandma Ruby, you were the reason I cried all the way to Brainerd when our family moved away.  I fondly remember our many trips together to Chicago, California and wherever else we wanted to go via your backyard swing.  Thank you for your unending love and always keeping your candy stocked in your house.  Love you and I look forward to hugging again.

You meant so much to us, we love you.  I have many fond memories of running over to your house and spending time with you. I remember all the treats you gave me as a kid (except when my mom forewarned you that I was not supposed to have treats :)) I remember you being at our house when my siblings were born.  I remember swinging on your swing in the back yard and singing of all the places we were swinging to.  I remember spending a lot of time with your marble game.  I remember your soft velvety couch pillows.  I remember going to the grocery store with you and my mom.  Most of all I remember a woman who always showed love to me, who always cared for and listened to me, a wonderful, thoughtful, loving woman.  I am so grateful that I was able to visit with you a couple months ago.  I am thankful my kids got to meet you after hearing stories about you when I was a boy.

Ruby, You were one of the most special people in our family's life. We had so many good times and treasured memories. We know you as Grandma Ruby and we will never forget you. The kindness and love you shared with us taught us all how to be better people. We loved our visits with you at St Eligius when we would come back home. You are now with the Lord who you have waited so long to be with, along with all your other loved ones you so often talked about. You made a life long, positive impact on our children, who will also all remember forever Grandma Ruby. We loved you so very much and will miss you. We look forward to seeing you again in the future for ever and ever. GOD BLESS YOU RUBY.

Ruby, you were always a Grandma to us Ward children.  We will forever miss you.  I am so grateful for the visit we had in October, you made me smile and laugh.
To Ruby's family ~ you were so fortunate to have such a wonderful, strong woman in your life.  Grandma Ruby will be missed, and I will think of her often as I always do.  She is now at peace and smiling down on all of us.

Ruby was our beloved neighbor in Proctor. She was like a mother to us and a grandmother to our four children. I have many fond memories of grocery shopping together, sharing recipes and her gardening tips. When our kids needed extra attention or just a hug, they would traipse through the well worn path to Ruby's house. Ruby would greet them with a treat and her love. We loved her with all of our hearts. We were blessed to have her in our lives. Our condolences go to her family.
