Ruth M. Holter

Age 97, lifelong resident of West Duluth passed away peacefully with her family at her side Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Essentia Medical Center.

She was born September 5, 1914 in Duluth. Ruth worked for several years as a cashier, retiring from M & J Super Valu.

She enjoyed caring for her family, cooking, playing cards with her friends and doing the daily Jumble.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

She is survived by her sister, Lillian and her husband, Joe Talarico; their children, Jay, Beth (Ron) Kraml, Alan (Teresa), all of Hermantown and her sister, Myrtle Perrault, of Florida and her children, Rick Kern, Lynne (Donny) Simmons and Donald (Donna) Kern; many great-nieces, great- nephews and friends.

The family wants to thank the Essentia-St. Mary’s Hospice Staff for their compassionate care of Ruth.
