Stanley Frank Bukowski

Stanley Frank Bukowski, 93, of Duluth passed away from a broken heart after the love of his life, LuVerne, passed away on January 9, 2018. Stanley passed away on February 14, 2018. He was born October 12, 1924, in Kettle River, MN to Nicholas and Elizabeth Bukowski. Stan was the last remaining sibling of 12 children.

Stanley served in World War II Company B, 1st Infantry, 6th Division. Stan and LuVerne were married for 63 years. Stan worked for Murphy’s 76 gas station for over 30 years as an auto mechanic.

The family would like to thank North Shore Estates for the wonderful care they gave Stan. He was only there for three months, but Judy would take him there every other day for the past 5 ½ years to see his bride, so they knew him well and at the end were very good to him until the day he died of a broken heart.

He will be sadly missed by his loving family, Jerry (Kim) Bukowski of Fredericksburg, VA, Judy (Tom) Donnellan of Duluth, and Carol (Kris) Bukowski of Duluth; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later time.

My brother Larry Helstrom told me of your Dad's passing today. I always remember him being a hard worker at the station. Glad he's at peace now.
