Theresa Marie Anderson, 93, of Duluth passed away Feb. 28th at St. Eligius. Theresa was born in July of 1920 to Steve and Teresa Verlennich. She attended schools in Duluth and worked briefly for the Klearfax Rug Company and the Match Factory in West Duluth. Theresa married Claude W. Anderson on May 27, 1944. She was a homemaker, living in Hermantown for 43 years. Theresa enjoyed fishing in Canada and Michigan along with grouse hunting and camping. She was an avid bowler and was active in Couples’ League for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; parents; sisters, Elizabeth “Betty”, Anna, Stefona, Mary, and Christine “Chris”; brothers, Steve, Nick, Joe, and John. Theresa is survived by her daughter, Renee (Richard Guyer) Anderson; grandchildren, Jonathan (Heather) Guyer and Ann Guyer; sister, Virginia Leone; sisters-in-law, Lillian Lund, Dorothy Wotczak, Florence Strom and June (Duane) Booker, all of Duluth ; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Connie Sorenson. Visitation: 9am until the 10 am Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 4th at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N. 56th Avenue West with Fr. Jon Wild officiating. Spring burial at Oneota Cemetery. My condolences Renee to you and your family. I remember years ago, when we were young girls, you invited me over to spend the night. The following morning, your mom made eggs benedict for us. I had never had that before. It was so good and such a treat! Your mom was a sweet and kind woman. She will be missed!
