Tim was born in August of 1941 in St. Paul, Minnesota to James and Dorothy Walsh.
He attended and graduated from Marshalltown High School. He married Cheryl Rushen in 1963 in Kansas City, MO. He served in the Army as a printer of classified documents during the Vietnam War. Tim worked as a printer from age 16, working in many print shops. In 1969 he joined Service Printers where he worked for over 30 years, purchasing the company in 1988 with his brother, Steve Walsh.
Tim was a leader in Cub Scouts, a member of Duluth Harbortown Rotary Club, and an active volunteer for Courage Duluth.
Tim was a passionate outdoorsman, he loved nature, and his favorite place was at the cabin with his family. He loved animals, especially hunting with his Golden Retrievers. He enjoyed good friends, trips with his brother Steve, traveling with Cheryl, and his annual fishing trips to Lake Nipigon with good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy Shilts.
Tim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cheryl; sons, Brad and significant other Katie Huff, Jake (Meg); granddaughter, Ayla; brother Steve (Mary) Walsh; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Staff of the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay for the wonderful care given to dad.
