1919 – 2016
After a long and valiant struggle with dementia Betty
slipped away in the early morning of September 21,
2016 at New Westminster, B.C.
Predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 1967,
brothers Teddy and David Low, sisters Freda Charlston
and Ruth Murch.
Survived by daughter Sharron Cathey, granddaughter
Natasha Mazar, great-grandsons Tony (Courtney)
and Al DiStefano and a great-great-grandson Lucas
DiStefano.
Also survived by brothers Robert and Norman
(Grace) Low.
Betty, a servant to all, having a lifelong commitment
to her Church, Girl Guides of Canada and her
community, all from which she received many
accolades. During her years as a Guider she visited
many international headquarters.
A celebration of life will be held at
St. Michaels and All Angels, Chemainus, B.C.,
October 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
