It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Brent Harper in Cowichan District Hospital after a long illness. He will be sadly missed by Joanne Hamilton, his partner for over 30 years. All her family loved him through those years: 3 children and their spouses, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Brent was predeceased by his parents, by two brothers, by a favorite nephew Alan Purchase in Dubai UAR and, a favorite niece Helen Harper, both who passed much too young in life.
He is survived by 2 sisters – Diane Fikowski and family in Sherwood Park, Alberta, and by Lois Purchase and her family in Ottawa. He leaves his pride and joy, his son, Alan Harper , now an Assistant Professor at Tokai University in Japan, and his family.
Thanks to all his caregivers especially Dr. W. Reynolds, Mill Bay, B.C. A private celebration of his life will be held in the near future.
