Bruce Albert Williams

Williams, Bruce Albert – Born in Nanaimo June 28, 1950, passed at Duncan July 26, 2011. Bruce grew up in on the family farm with his grandparents Weldon and Emily, his parents Earl and Jane and siblings; Marge (deceased), Hank, Dick, Bruce and Sid. Late in life they moved to Duncan where Ted, Faith, George, Arnie (deceased) Sam and Stephen joined the family. While growing up Bruce joined the Sea Cadets found great enjoyment, and became a logger, a lifelong career. He met and married his first wife, Debbie Sharpe and in 1991 he re-married to Bonnie Austman and became a step father to Lorna and “Na” to Ashley and Kyle. Bruce will be remembered his many family and friends. There will be a service honouring his life beginning with a viewing at First Memorial Funeral Services, 375 Brae Road on Friday at 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Prayers will take place at the Somena Big House at 7:00pm. Saturday at the Somena Big House there will be a Mask Dance at 6:00am, the funeral will begin at 9:00am, burial at the Indian Road cemetery followed by a lunch.
