Charles Jean Ruest

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles (Charlie) Ruest at Chemainus Healthcare Centre, with his daughters by his side. Dad was predeceased on October 25, 2017 by Marjorie, his wife of 57 years. He missed her tremendously. His surviving family includes daughters Janet (Jim), Lise, son Chuck, grandchildren Elizabeth, Robert, Taylor and Devon.

Our family lived in Sidney for many years where Dad worked with the federal Dept. of Transportation at the airport. Dad and Mom lived in Chemainus for the last 24 years.

It brings us comfort knowing that he was able to enjoy being a “snowbird” with Mom for over twenty years. They loved the great Arizona weather, and their “winter” activities – Dad especially enjoyed golf!

Thank you for the kindness and compassion shown by the health care staff at Chemainus Healthcare Centre. We also appreciate the kindness of the front office staff at Chemainus Medical clinic and Dr. T. Morris.
