Leona Portelance (nee Stuef) August 16,1920 to August 13, 2011. Born in Ponoka, Alberta then move to the Duncan area – Old Hillcrest met and married Neil Portelance and moved to Mesachie Lake when the Stones were just getting started. They built a new house in Lake Cowichan and sold it to purchase the “Portelances Store”. Retired to Duncan where Leona took up golf and curling and some travel adventures. Predeceased by husband Neil she is survived by her 2 children Carol Scott in Chemainus and Stephen Portelance in Calgary Alberta, 4 granddaughters and 4 great granddaughters and 2 great great grandsons. Many thanks to all of her friends and relatives that always included her in their fun as Leona loved that. Many thanks also to Dr. Gee and Dove Hill House and Chemanius Health Care.
