It is with broken hearts that the family of James Calvin
Shultz announces his passing on the morning of July 7,
2016, at the age of 76 at the Cowichan District Hospital,
Duncan, B.C.
Although Jim was in late stage Alzheimer’s Disease, he
slipped away suddenly but peacefully from unrelated
causes with his beloved wife of 54 years, Mollie, devoted
sister, Holly, and dear friends, Jane and Dave Burkmar, at
his bedside.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Alfred Shultz,
younger brother Michael(Deb) and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Paul).
He is survived by siblings David (Judy), Brian (Trish), Heather(Randy),
Paul, Tom (Kathy), Holly, nieces, nephews and extended family.
After his retirement from the Saanich Police Department in 1995,
Jim enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, hiking, travelling to tropical locales
during the winter months and simply enjoying his home in Maple Bay.
Special thanks to the first responders from the Maple Bay Fire Dept.,
the ambulance crew and the caring Emergency Room personnel.
Blessings to you all. Thank you to our many friends and neighbours
who have offered such tremendous comfort and support.
