When Justin was about 5, he, Crystal, and Brian loved taking turns being swung around by the ankles like a carousel.  His giddy laughter was infectious.

That was the only time in our lives that I knew him, but I'm glad I had those moments.  Saw him once again when he was a very withdrawn teenager in Chilliwack and tried to bond with him...but by then I was a veritable stranger.  I never saw him again after that, but thought about him (and Crystal and Brian) often.

I wish I would have taken time to be a part of his life.  From the comments, he seemed to be a decent fellow and much loved.

Used to have a photograph of him with their huge orange tabby cat, and another with him and myself in front of a birthday cake.  Those pics are long gone, but I still have my fond memories of him.

Thinking of you often, dear nephew.



Justin lived a life that was complicated by some factors over which ne had no control. He was very intelligent young man, with a greeat interest in life that should never have ended so soon. But perhaps the powers that control the extent of our lives had a reason to take him back from us. Justin made a habit of showing his respect for me, his paternal Grandpa which I   appreciated greatly. I will not forget him.

Thinking of you and missing you little bro.

It has taken me a long time to be able to sit here and start typing, I was not sure where to start and I'm still not....but I'm going to try.

   Justin was one of my best friends in the whole world. He knew me better then I knew myself at times. He  had answers to questions for me...before I would get those answers for myself. He always supported me with whatever I was doing in my life or whatever I believed in, he made me think about why these things were in my life and if I truly did believe in them. 

  I remember staying up ALL night just talking, endless hours of talking. About the universe, religion, philosophy,  where the clouds park at night...and everything under the stars.  His mind never stopped working, it didn't have an off setting, and I think that's why he reached out to help as many people as he did.  Some of my favorite memories are of just our talks. Down at the river, at home, the park. I will cherish those forever.

 He had a passion for life that no one understood, Justin himself was so misunderstood. His love of music got him through the hardest times in his life, as well as all the great times. I loved waking up in the morning and seeing  links for songs he had created. I may not have understood all of his songs , but they were special because he created them. I will hold onto them forever.  I will hold onto every memory I have. 

  I will miss you every day of my life, but I will smile because I had the pleasure of calling you friend....Family.

Justin was the most passionate person. When he was interested in something he would research it and try to find out the most he could about it. My first best memory with him would be the day he surprised me with 2 roses one red one and one blue one... I have had those roses tattooed on me cause he was the first person to show me he cared and loved me... He always pushed me to be the best person i could be..no matter what was going on in life he supported me and my choices and was there to help me up when i fell. I will always remember every moment.. He was my bestfriend..my family forever.

Our golden boy, who marched to his own beat which few of us understood.  
But that didn't  stop us from loving you, then, now and always.
