on May 20, 2016, with her loving husband, Rod, at her side.
Mavis was born on August 18, 1954 in Kamsack, SK. After many years of working with
computers and computer systems, Mavis retired and built their retirement home in Crofton, BC.
Mavis will be missed by her family, loving husband Rod and son Shaun (Laura), brothers David
Schuck (Natalie) Warren Schuck (Anneke), mother-in-law Isabelle Nisbet, father-in-law Tony Melvyn
(Dorothy), sisters-in law Charlene Schneider, Val Tonnesen (Tony), Fawn Crews (Brad) and
many nieces and nephews.
Mavis was predeceased by her mother, Ann Schuck.
A small Celebration of Life will be held at First Memorial, 375 Brae Rd, Duncan, BC on
Saturday, June 4th, 2016. (11AM to 1PM)
In lieu of flowers, as per Rod and Mavis’ wishes, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimers
Society of BC.
Very special thanks to Dr. Valerie Masuda, and all doctors and nurses at the Duncan Regional
Hospital.
