She is preceded in death by her mother Sara Trevino; her husband of over 60 years, Clemente DeLeon Sr.; her son, Eugene and step-son Clemente Jr.; her two sisters, Josephine and Agnes; and her two brothers, Guadalupe and Joe. Amanda is survived by her two sons, A.C. and wife Jeanie, John Michael and wife Elva; four daughters Ernestine (Tina) Young and husband Jimmy (deceased), Paula Diaz and husband Martin, Pam Cervantes and husband Michael, Teresa Alfaro and husband Adam; daughter-in-law Modesta DeLeon, stepchildren Rev. Gloria Garza and husband Rev. Manuel, Rev. Rudy DeLeon and wife Fran; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Amanda was a founding member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, she served for many years in the altar society, cursillistas and as a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Amanda was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to sew and volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Visitation will be at 4pm-8pm, and Rosary at 7pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday, May 28th. Fr. Timothy Gollob will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5004 Bonnie View, Dallas, TX 75241 on Friday, May 29th at 10:30am.
