November 28, 1968 – July 21, 2020
With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beautiful Goretti Perez on July 21, 2020 in Mansfield, TX. She was born on November 28, 1968 in Mexico to Victor and Gloria Rangel. Goretti was married to Alfredo for many years and built a beautiful family together. She loved life and made friends with everyone – loved and cared for everyone! Goretti enjoyed gardening, interior design, dancing, listening to all genres of music, shopping, collecting antiques as well as traveling and coloring/drawing. She loved her family and cooking for them, taking pictures and especially family gatherings. Her other little family members included her pets, Tigger (deceased), Lucas, Whiskers and Felicia who she loved with all her heart. She wanted only the best for her family. Inspiration to her children to be productive and active in school is what she strived to teach them. Goretti loved working with people as an interpreter and assisting in any way she could and was a great negotiator. She was a faithful being. Praying for those around her was a daily task – never leaving anyone out. In the words of her loving husband “On top of everything, the most important thing for her was to be devoted to her family every day and night, no matter what.” Goretti will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her mother; infant daughter, Maya; grandparents, Catalina, Rosa and Olivia Rangel. Those left to remember her legacy are her husband; daughter, Kathaleen; son, Alfredo; sisters, Laura, Lea, Billie, Victoria and Alejandra; brother, Roberto; extended family, Guadalupe Rangel, The Rangel Family, The Perez Family, The Garcia Family and The Villegas Family. A Visitation will be held at David Clayton & Sons Funeral Home – Duncanville, TX on Monday July 27, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Tuesday July 28, 2020 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Little Bethel Memorial Park – Duncanville, TX.

Ms. Perez your beautiful smile and sweet demeanor will be greatly missed. I’ll never forget how much you helped me with my son when he was younger and how you greeted him with open arms when he’d join your family for dinner. My prayers will always be with your kids.

Goretti was energetic, creative, and very patient. She had the imagination to create, rebuild, and remodel a beautiful cozy home. I will miss our long phone calls, hearing about your busy day. So much energy you had. I will always remember the trip we took to Mexico in 2018. You renting a car at the airport. You driving on the highways of Mexico at night with just the two of us in the car. I was scared but you were not even nervous. That one week we spent in Mexico I got to see your creativeness and imagination in action. I will miss you especially on Thanksgiving Day and Good Friday when we gather together as a family. I will cherish happy memories in my heart. A memory will always be kept of my loving niece. I will never forget you.
