

Hortensia Saldana Gonzalez was born on April 23, 1935 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and passed away on February 27, 2017 in Duncanville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Mauro Gonzalez in 2012; and her daughter-in-law Mary Cecelia Gonzalez in 2013. She is survived by her sister Angelica; her brother Raul; sons Robert, Mauro Gerardo and his wife Rachel Gonzalez, Ricardo, and David Gonzalez; grandchildren Jennifer Martinez, Christopher Gonzalez, Robert Jason Gonzalez, Stacy Dailey, and Joshua Gonzalez; also many nieces, nephews, and many friends. Hortensia was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1965 and served as a faithful servant for fifty-two years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Hortensia was an excellent homemaker and cook. She was very hospitable and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Throughout her life she served Jehovah faithfully alongside her husband and was instrumental in helping him raise her sons in the truth. She had a real love for Jehovah and his promises contained in his word, the Bible. All her family and friends will miss her until the day in paradise, when Jehovah calls her name and awakens her in the resurrection.
