Mr. James Richard Hall

James Richard (Rick) Hall passed away on August 6, 2014 at the age of 66. Rick was born June 17, 1948 to James Vernon Hall and Grace O'Neal Hall who preceded him in death. He grew up in Oak Cliff and graduated from Sunset High School in 1966. He entered the U.S. Army on April 24, 1968, serving in Vietnam from May 7, 1969 until April 2, 1970. Rick was assigned to 101st Airborne Unit Screaming Eagles. While serving in Vietnam Rick received a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, a Vietnam Campaign Medal, two Overseas Bars, Expert M-14 ranking and a Bronze Star Medal for his heroic efforts while in combat. Rick is survived by his son and daughter in Law, James (Scott) Hall and his wife Michelle Hall, his two granddaughters, Lindsey and Megan Hall, his sister, Jacki Herndon, his brother, Steve Hall, and his niece, Melani Reske. Services will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at DFW National Cemetery, Lane A, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
