She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Carter McCutcheon Ruffin. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Lynn Wright, brother Greg Ruffin (wife Nancy), father Joe David Ruffin, Aunt Virginia Ann Crilley, Uncle Bob Crilley, children Cristopher Lynn Wright (wife Danielle), Kurtis Craig Wright (wife), grandchildren Nicholas Craig Wright, Adele Grace Wright, many nieces and nephews, her lifelong best friends Cindy Dodson-Childers, and Trudy Rawlinson, as well as too many others that she adopted, fostered or rescued, to name.
For those of us that had the privilege and the blessing to know her personally, she was the most wholeheartedly generous, kind, giving and loving person in our lives. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, she never knew a stranger, and her charitable causes are too many to name.
Even though she was a graduate of White High School in Tennessee, she was a lifelong resident of the Dallas area, and a true native Texan. In addition to the ever-growing family that she adored, she was passionate about sports, particularly the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Stars. She also loved music, both kinds, country and rock. She marked a milestone by seeing Willie Nelson live in concert over 80 times.
While our hearts are heavy, we rest easier knowing that she was well received in heaven, and that we will always have our own personal angel watching over us, from above.
