Mr. Lloyd E. Thomas, Sr. (Pap) of Duncanville, Texas went to meet his Lord on January 5th, 2018, just seven days shy of his 94th birthday, after suffering a Stroke in 2012. He left this Earth in the arms of his Wife of 74 years Wanda Lorene Thomas. They were married after being High School Sweethearts in 1945. He remained touching lives even at the end of his. He played his last game well...
He was a WWII Veteran who loved his Country. And had his own special salute from his Paratrooper days.
He helped start many Organized Sports throughout his whole adult life all the way to the Senior Teams.

He later retired from Dallas Baptist University in the mid 80's and then pursued his passion of Woodworking and traveled the country delivering Limos. He and Wanda enjoyed many years serving the Lord and were faithful members of Duncanville First Baptist where he served as a Deacon.
His entire life revolved around being a Father, Grandfather, Coach and Mr. T. His love for his extended family was insurmountable. To this day he can still remember all the names of the boys and girls he taught or coached and usually could tell you a story about each one of them.
He loved to play as well as coach almost any sport. He even played softball and volleyball until he was in his 80's. Often he would sneak out with his uniform under his khakis'. He loved to play Dominoes and was always up to learn something new. And loved to listen to his Country and Gospel Music.
