

Born May 14,1934 in Avery, Texas and went home to meet the Lord and spend her first Christmas in Heaven on December 23, 2017 at the age of 83 in Arlington, Texas in total peace and with a smile on our precious and beloved "Mothers" face.
Velma grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from W. H. Adamson High School.
Velma was preceded in death by her spouse to whom she was married forty-five (45) years, Jerry Kennith Stewart; also her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Jane Cole Stewart; and her son-in-law, Stanley Bullion; She is survived by her brother, Arthur Eugene (Margo) Bolton; her daughter, Jeane Lacy (Edward) Box; her son, Kenneth Michael Stewart; her daughter, Tamara Starr Bullion; and her daughter, Jill Marie (Thomas) Donohue; her grandchildren; Eric Michael (Jackie) Wilson; Stacy Lynette Stewart; Amanda Jean (Lance) Wheeler; Rebecca Lynn (Justin) Schisler; and Stephanie Starr Martin; ten (10) great-grandchildren, several cousins, other relatives and her dearest friend and one of her prayer partners of forty-two (42) years, Mrs. Myrna Meadows.
Velma was a homemaker, wife and mother and she performed these jobs with joy and perfection. She was an excellent cook, and an accomplished seamstress. She was a talented musician and a trained pianist. She was fun and she laughed merrily. She always looked for the good in everyone and everything. Velma had the voice of an angel and she enjoyed singing in the church choir. Velma was a prayer warrior and along with her prayer partners, there was not anything that she would not take to the Lord in prayer. There are many who can testify to the miracles that have come about through those prayers.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday December 28, 2017 at the Funeral Home. Celebration of life services will be 11 AM Friday December 29, 2017 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Williams officiating. Internment will follow at Little Bethel Memorial Park.
