James "Jim" McMillan

Passed away suddenly with his family at his side at Juravinski Hospital on Sunday, April 14, 2013 in his 72nd year. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Maxiene. Loving father to James, Michelle and his son-in-law John, and Tashi. Grandpa Jim to Dakota and Cassidy. Survived by his brother Bob, his sister Jean and their families. Jim will be sadly missed by many close friends. He was a dedicated Industrial Arts teacher for many years. He was also an enthusiastic volunteer at Westfield Heritage Village, Hamilton Board of Education Archives, and Canadian Warplane Heritage. Had a great love of music and spent many years singing with Westinghouse Male Choir, Ryerson United Church Choir, and Trinity United Church Choir. Memorial visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main St. East, Hamilton, on Friday, April 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 12 noon.
