Peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the age of 100 years, 3 months and 22 days. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Ada Lambert, his siblings Ada Wilson, Florence Cox, Sydney Lambert and Doreen Cunningham He will be sadly missed by his nephew Martin Wilson, nieces Doreen Cox (predeceased) and Linda Edwards and their families. Dearly missed by his second family, life-long friend Chak Man (Tom) Tam and his wife Bik Seen (Betty) (predeceased), Bobby, Stanley (Daisy), Sonny, Darlene (Wayne), Laurie, Andre, Franklin, Teresa, and staff and residents of Rambynas. Matthew was a Veteran of WWII serving in the British Royal Army, 181 1st Air Landing Division. He dedicated his life serving others with the Canadian Government and for the Salvation Army as a volunteer. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), on Thursday, March 31 form 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF SERVICE TIME.
