since this is going offline in a couple days, this will be my last entry to you mom. sometimes it feels like we lost you just yesterday, and other times it feels like I haven't heard your voice in years. I am about to embark on a new journey in my life and I am heartbroken you aren't physically here to see me enter motherhood. I know you will watch over me, Dave, and your grandson, Samuel Paul, but what I would give to have you here with us. Who will I call when I feel I am doing everything wrong and am clueless? Who is going to keep me centered and focused, and who will laugh when he acts up and gives me trouble just as I did you? But mostly who is going to love him as only a grandma could? I have given Gran Jan and Buckie & Linda the duty of making sure they tell him all sorts of silly stories of you. Samuel will know you & he will love you as much as I do. I hope I will teach him to enjoy life as much as you did, and to appreciate the outdoors and instill family values in him just as you did me. 
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you. My heart will never quite be the same. I miss you and I love you so much mom. One day I will see you again, but until that day comes, please continue to guide me and watch over us & please don't ever stop giving those comforting signs. xoxo

Mom, it's hard for me to believe it's been a year since I have heard your voice. I re-played some of your voicemails that you left me and of course it only made me miss you more. They say time will heal, but it's hasn't for me so far. I miss you more than I can put into words. I'm sad you're not here for me to share this pregnancy with, you're grandson will be here in 9weeks, funny this time last year I was courting down the days til my soldier came home. Now I'm counting down til baby Samuel Paul is here. I never imagined you not being here for this. I know you watch over me and I am so thankful for the signs from you, I pray those never go away. 
I find myself angry still at times that you were called home so soon, but I also know the pain you were in was unbearable. So I have to believe God took to keep you from suffering and to give me a Guardian angel. I hope you know how much I love you.

Mom, I always miss you, but tonight I find myself not being able to ease my heartache. I am so sad that you aren't here as I am approaching the end of my second trimester. How can I do this without you? You were called home way too soon. I know you will watch over your grandson from above, but I am so sad he will never here your voice or have sleep overs at your house. My heart remains broken. I love you always.

Mom, I really miss you. Some days are so much harder than others. I know you are watching over me & that is comforting, but I miss our daily talks. There isn't a day that goes by that you aren't thought of. I love you very much.

Three weeks ago today was the worst day of my life. The only comfort is knowing you are at peace & no longer in pain. I think of you every minute of everyday. Tomorrow is New Years Eve & I'm looking forward to a new year, new beginning, & new endless possibilities. I know you are my Angel & watching over me, but it doesn't take away my sadness. My beautiful Mom, it is Christmas Eve & all I can think about is how we planned to have the best Christmas together this year, I was looking forward to waking you up at 4am for once on Christmas morning. But instead this Christmas, you are an angel. I cherish all of our Christmas's that we did get to spend together, you always made sure I had the best Christmas. I will miss your Christmas breakfast. I think of you every minute of every day. I miss you so much. I love you Mom, more than you will ever know.

Chi Chi is someone I meant several years ago and she instantly became a friend. She always had a kind word to say and was loved by all who met her. Some of the craziest stories ever...  From her bobby hat to the license plate flip flops.    you truly will be missed...

I am so glad I was able meet Cheryl the times I came to visit JR and Leslie in Florida. I know Cheryl will be missed greatly by her family and friends but I pray they will find comfort in the many wonderful and happy memories they shared with her.
