

Chester T. Hoffman, 95 of New Port Richey,Florida, passed on Thursday, May 22, 2014 under Hospice care. Chester was born in Mansfield, Ohio and moved to Dunedin in 1950. He was a WWII Army veteran, Tech Sgt 101st Airborne. Chester spent years in Marine sales and repairs. He was a Past Commander U.S.C.G.A in Dunedin, U.S. Power squad, teacher and a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal service in Clearwater. Chester was active in his church serving as a deacon for many years at Calvary Open Bible Church. Chester was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Alma in 1999; daughter, Bonnie in 2004 and son, Jerry in 2006.
He is survived by his grandson & granddaughter-in-law Rodney and Elizabeth Ristau, and his 3 brothers, Don, Bud and Rich. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cornerstone Community Church at 5708 Trouble Creek Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
