Lisa and Mike,

To all of Elsie's dear family:  What a wonderful lady!  I will always remember her smile and cheerful attitude the best, even up to just a couple of weeks ago!  All of her wonderful stories and her sterling example of being a loving and selfless wife and mother.  Jesus and Don must be jumping for joy to receive such an angel!

Lisa, there are no words to really express how I feel about the passing of your Mother.  I will always remember what a beautiful, gentle and funny person Elsie was.  Most of all, I will remember how blessed you and your children are to have had her in your life.   I love you all...

I'll never forget all the great stories Elsie shared with me last year, about her family, husband and children. Beautiful, Classy lady with a layer of Tomboy in her! It was so much fun to get her laughing with a inside joke, we were both on the verge of wetting our pants and of course we just laugh harder! Love you Elsie

To the family of Elsie Schroder, I take this opportunity to represent my parents, June and E.J. Rice, and to express their heartfelt condolences on the passing of your beloved mother.  My parents wish to express their love for both Don and Elsie and all the cherished memories they have from their many years of friendship.  They know, without a shadow of a doubt, that Don is thrilled to welcome the love of his life to eternity and they are so happy at the re-joining of these two very beautiful souls.  You are very fortunate to have had their extraordinary example of true love in your lives and we pray that those memories make her passing more bearable.  My parents will be in Bushnell Tuesday afternoon, Lord willing, to pay final respects to a lady they loved dearly.  Proverbs 31:28 expresses it best, "Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her."  She left her mark in many hearts.

Mimi, I feel I was cheated out of really getting a chance to know you. I look at the pictures of your life, all full of happiness, love and just having fun. You were an extraordinary woman who lived her life to the fullest potential. I am absolutely honored to of had the chance to not only known you, but to be a part of this family. Elsie thank you for being my other mom, including me in on family vacations, dinners, sharing Don, your home,your wonderful daughter Lisa and the love of good food and fun.  You modeled a life of kindness and grace, how lucky I was to be a part of your world.
