Julie L. Ranalli, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away at the age of 55 on July 25, 2014 with family at her side, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 14, 1958 in Battle Creek, MI, to Fred and Emily Hanke and attended Harper Creek High School. She later attended Western Michigan University, where she studied business. In 1987 she married David Jacobson, and together they had a daughter, Emily Jacobson. She later relocated to Chicago, where she raised her daughter and re-married Jerry Ranalli. Julie worked in various sales jobs throughout her career, most recently at Symmetry Financial Group, where she received recognition as a top producer and was encouraged to teach others the “Julie way of selling.” She was particularly known for her kind soul and impeccable witticisms. A designer at heart, she enjoyed decorating and often hosted her friends in her elegant home. Julie traveled to New York City often to spend time with her daughter, with whom she was very close. She is survived by her daughter, Emily, of New York, NY, her brother, Gregg Hanke, of Simi Valley, CA, and her cousin, Lori Summers, of Sarasota, FL. A memorial service to celebrate Julie's life will be held in Palm Harbor at a later date. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
